Galaxy Tab 2

So I am getting this as a birthday present and was wondering what your opinion on this tablet is. I am really stoked that it runs ICS because I have a Motorola Triumph currently running Cyanogenmod 7 and I am dying to check out ICS. So what do you think about this tablet? The reviews that I have read all seem very positive. I tried to order the Google Nexus tab from Sears while it was on sale, but it had already sold out. The thing I don't like about the Google tab though is that you are locked with 16 GB of storage while the Galaxy tab allows you to expand up to 32 GB via micro sd. The first thing I am going to do when I get the Galaxy tab is root the darn thing so I can run apps that need superuser access. No need to flash Cyanogenmod since it already runs ICS.

its definitely worth getting. The only advantage the nexus has over the galaxy is that it has Jelly bean, but the galaxy will probably be getting that update in the next few weeks

Don't forget about the quad core cpu that the Nexus has.

The 7 inch Galaxy tab 2 is probably one of the better options if you need to have expandable memory. The N7 is probably the best option if you don't need expandable memory.

With that said, the Gtab 2 is a really good tablet. My niece has it and the screen, speed and build are really nice. I like the speakers too on it.

I just picked a Galaxy Tab 2 up a few days ago and I gotta say I love it. I had a kindle fire but was ready to upgrade to something less restrictive. There is really nothing I don't like about my GT2.

Plus I think of one of the biggest and I do mean biggest plus for me. Would be the screen glass its self. What I have read its some kinda "Samsung Glass" that is suppose to be as tough as gorilla glass but clear. I have noticed it does not show fingerprints at all unless held at certain angles. My kindle Fire which does use Gorilla glass is terrible about finger prints to the point where I use to keep a cleaning cloth with me to get rid of them. I will admit this cleaning finger prints off the screen is no easy task but at the same time there almost impossible to see so its kinda mute point.

I don't know if you can directly compare the Nexus 7 and the Galaxy Tab 2 to each other. There both tablets but there kinda 2 different things when you start comparing specs.

Nexus 7 is a sports car where the Galaxy Tab 2 is a Luxury car.

Nexus 7 all about speed and performance.
Galaxy Tab 2 is more about overall features and function.
