Help Galaxy Tab Hangs on Boot

Anybody know what to do if a reboot doesn't work? My Tab goes past the Samsung message to the Verizon wireless display, hangs there although it vibrates every few sections and the display flashes. I already tried the simultaneous power and volume up buttons and then re-boot options but it still does the same things.

Thanks, I did that but was trying to avoid a factory reset. No such luck.
