Help galaxy tab - huge system data

Hello, I have a samsung galaxy tab 2. I have only a few apps installed, but my system data keeps growing everyday. It has already taken up more than 5.2g of internal memory. I have already done factory reset once, cant keep doing it every week.
Diskusage software shows the data, but does not tell me where it is or how to delete it. I have tried many cache cleaner software, tries turning off backup option on android, tries turning off sync, but nothing helped.
I have chcked many forums, but couldnt solve the issue.
Please help me, thanks

Hi there, NeedHelpTab, and welcome to Android Forums! We're glad you're here. :)

I'm going to move this to our Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 board, where it'll be seen by more people with the same tablet.

Adding my "welcome" to you first, NHT. ;)

Data will "grow every day," but it should not do so at an alarming rate and should not require a factory data reset to remedy the issue.

I have a feeling that one or more of your apps is drawing data via auto sync being configured at intervals too close together, which can double, triple or quadruple apparent data usage.

I'd first check any weather/news widgets, but also Facebook and any other social networking programs. I have mine set to "sync on demand," which used no data at all until the moment "sync" is tapped in the app's menu.

Also, go into the Application Manager and scroll to the "running" column to have a look at what is actually using services at that time. That'll give you a lot of clues. ;)

Lastly, if you have a 3rd party task manager or task "killer" installed, remove it, as they are notorious for causing sync loops because they stop needed services from running which the system restarts automatically just to keep things from crashing, etc.

Hope this helps... post back your results. :)

Thank you for moving the post to an apropriate forum MoodyBlues.

And thanks a lot for replying Frisco. I have turned off sync, but my data still remains on the device and I am unable to find it or delete it.

Any tips on how to see all data present on the device and delete it if required. Thanks for time again.
