Galaxy tab p1000 problems

Hello there

like the title says,i got problems with my new galaxy tab

whenever i try do update it,it get stuck on the "downloading do not turn of !!! "

after that it stays like that and nothing happens.. can someone pls help me fix it..im new when it comes to android
 
Why do you even need to do an update? Mine works fine without one. Try turning off the anitvirus or any other apps you have installed they might be interferring with the update.
