galaxy w connection to tv??

is it possible to connect the galaxy w to a tv to display the pictures etc?

i cant seem to find a way to do it or even a seperate cable i may need.

thanks guys.

cant use dnla as it is a sony tv. (can i?)

how would 3.5mm cable output the video? is there a micro usb type cable that could possibly work?

cheers

I have a 2011 Bravia and it is DLNA compatible and I am able to send video/images to the TV.

You either need a wifi dongle for the TV, or an ethernet cable connecting it to a router. Then you need to make sure your phone is connected to the same wireless router as your TV.

Then use the program AllShare that comes with the phone. It might take a bit of playing around at first but it does work.

Works flawlessly with images, but sometimes not so well with videos. To get my TV to play videos recorded on my phone I have to open the AllShare application and then use the menu on the TV to search phone - and that's the only way it works for me.

the tv is about 3 years old and unfortunately has no internet connection at all.

is there some sort of generic cable that may work? i dont think there will be a specific galaxy w one made.

Ah that's unfortunate.

There are micro-USB to HDMI adaptors available for the S2, but nothing to indicate they are compatible with the Galaxy W. Might be worth a call/email to Samsung.
