Help Galaxy Y not connecting to wifi

Hello people,

I am not been able to connect my Galaxy Y to a wifi network with 802.1xEAP. It is working fine with WEP. I have android version 2.3.6 and my friend who has the same phone but with android version 2.3.5 is able to connect to both WEP and 802.1xEAP wifi networks.

Please tell me how to solve this problem

I feel with you I have the same problem at school when I try to connect to a 802.1xEAP network but it works in cafes McDonalds and non password networks. I have tried to reset the phone but it didn't work.
I wish that i never updated my phone.

I have one question to you

I want to order a wifi router and they say that it has WPA security is WPA working???
Or is WPA the same as WEP
