Gallery not updating with new pics

The Gallery on my Desire isnt refreshing when I have copied new png files to a folder. The new folder just isnt appearing. Any ideas?

The phone is using ota ROM which is stock vanilla rooted 2.2

You could try an app called "SDrefresh", it forces to scan the sd for new files.
