Gallery Photo Order?

I am trying to view some photographs on the SD card. When I look at them in the file browser app they are ordered IMG...1 to IMG...100 which is OK.
When I view them in Gallery the only come up in the reversae order i.e. IMG...100 to IMG...1
Is there a way to alter this as the sorting options don't seem to offer a numerical listing.

Gallery displays photos in order based on the date from newest to oldest. Unfortunately, I think it uses 'last modified date' or 'added date' instead of the date from the EXIF data saved by the camera. So if you copy photos to your phone, or use a 3rd party app that snaps photos, sometimes the order of your gallery will be all wacky.

Try using QuickPic instead - lets you choose what to sort by (and is nicer IMO).

Thanks Hadron, not only does it display the thumbnails in the numerical order it shows them correctly and much faster. Thanks for your advice
