Help Gallery trouble

The camera of the Incredible was the primary reason I upgraded to from the Motorola Droid when the incredible came out, but I have gone through 4 phones (for various reasons) to get a good one and this is the second to have this issue. I take a lot of photos, and I keep them on my phone so they are available to showcase at a moment's notice, but lately my Gallery won't allow me to view any of the photos on my phone. The only way I can see the ones I've taken with this phone is to open the camera and use the little graphic in the corner. I have several folders of photos that I like to show off, and I can't do that when my Gallery won't load. Any suggestions?

And by the way, I've had to do a couple of factory resets on this particular phone. I would have liked for this issue to have been fixed with one of them, but no luck :(.

You'll have to forgive me lack of memory on how the stock gallery app lays out with options. But the camera app has the option to save pics to internal memory or the SD card. The internal location is /emmc/DCIM/100MEDIA. Perhaps there is an issue with your emmc file directory being misread or not read at all for some reason if that is where you are saving them.

So if you are using internal, perhaps change to SD card as your storage location and retry. This location will be at /sdcard/DCIM/100MEDIA. Then see if they show up in the Gallery or vice versa, if you're using SD and having probs, switch to internal. If one displays your pics but not the other, then perhaps you could move all your pics to the working location and restore the ability to utilize the Gallery.

Granted, it's a workaround but if nothing else is problematic with your setup, it may be an unintrusive fix, if it were to work.
