¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was looking at my son's FB pics through the gallery on my phone and now that's stuck as the default view. How do I get rid of it? I would like the default to be my pics, not his! I haven't found any settings to set or change that, nor do I know why it's defaulting to his pics. Any ideas?

Mine also has a picture from somebody's facebook as the picture on the screen when I open gallery. It's not even a picture I looked at so I think that's just what it does.

I should be glad it pulled my son's then!
That just seems silly, there should be a way to set that?!?!

I look at is as just sort of a sample picture. I think I still like this gallery better. And who knows what will happen with the first update? :)

you might be able to tweak some of the facebook sync settings if you dig into it, but i'd have no idea where to look. personally i use the facebook app instead of syncing my whole phone to fb since i've only had problems with that in the past (killed battery life, phone actually locked up once or twice, and i really don't like having all my facebook friends as contacts). maybe this is just something the phone does if you sync it up with facebook

Ya thats one of the more unpleasant things of Gingerbread IMO, I really wish I could sync my existing contacts with FB rather than all my FB contacts....that and I really wish you could still select multiple pics to delete at once.

Droid 3 gallery app is garbage in my opinion. Takes forever to get to the picture you want. I ended up getting the JustPictures! App, and hiding the regular gallery. I am actally really liking it although i had some trouble getting it to find my photos. Had to set it up to look in the right place. /mnt/sdcard-ext instead of mnt/sdcard.

I just installed the quickpic gallery app. it's way better. I found the stock gallery wouldn't split my pics into my subdirectories. quickpic does the subdirectories, and two finger zooming and everything I need...

In regards to the Phone book Issue I fixed it (really simply). Go to the Contacts, and Hide everything but the system group.)

You'll only see the contacts actually on your google phone, not facebook, but get the benefits of the ones that match.

On every Android phone I've owned I've been able to view my images in directories, ie.: downloads, 2010, 2011, etc. I still have my images in these same directories, but the phone only shows me all pictures and all videos when i check under "libraries". I tried adding one to an album but it just force closes. Any suggestions or does anyone know how to get the directories back into the gallery?

If you havn't already, download the quickpic app from the market and give it a try. Its the only way i have gotten my pics back into "directories" like they were in all of my other android phones.

@fingerlaker. I hope you are right. I will try quickpic app...because I just got my Droid 3 3 days ago and I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure Gallery directories rather than the phone just dumping all of my image files into one Gallery bucket. It sux. I chewed out Verizon Cusotmer service and I chewed out Motorola Customer Service. If I can't figure this out, I will either throw this phone into the nearest trash bin or return it. It might be a conspiracy, to force Droid 3 Users to use a Social Network which then loads your images under the Online feature under Gallery

I agree with you...i was most upset with the stock gallery on the droid 3, especially after being used to the great galleries on 3 other smart phones!! I just figured there has to be an APP to fix this!! Opened up the market, did a search, researched and whalah--Quickpic was the one. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and really like it. Don't really think I should have to download a 3rd party app to fix the gallery the way i want it but I love the droid3 so an app to fix one of the FEW things that bother me is no big deal!! TRY IT (quickpic)

I liked having Picasa in the gallery, but this will have to do. Thanks for the recommendation!
