Welcome to Android Forums, sb425. Good of you to join up. 
Depending on the version of Android os you're running, the camera pics can be in a folder called "camera roll," or just "camera," etc.
You should also be able to go into the "my files" or other file manager you have in your apps drawer and find them in a folder called "dcim," which contains pics and videos taken by your camera app. From there you can copy or move them to the Gallery, if they are not already there.
Dcim should be on your sd card.
