So I may be new to the whole emulator concept but I believe I'm doing everything right. I downloaded Gameboid, found a BIO's, and also downloaded a few rom's...Whenever I open Gameboid and it says "Load ROM" I browse my folders and tap the rom of choice, unfortunately a second later I'm redirected back to my home screen?!?! Is there a step I'm missing?

You have to have the latest version of gameboid installed. You probably have an older version which doesn't work on galaxy s phones. He updated his app to fix that issue. Gameboid works fine for me
