Gameboid (GBA Emulator)

I love the app it works great. But every time I try to run Action Replay it says the switch at the top is to the LEFT, move it to the RIGHT to continue... any1 know how I can fix this?

Okay, call it what you will, however I am having an issue with this app. Every time I try to load one of the games that I downloaded, it is telling me that I the load is failed because the bios must be specified in the settings. I don't know how to fix this because I was just playing these games fine earlier today. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Anything would be very appreciated.

Thanks.

uhm i know this may sound STUPID but why not just respecify the bios? you DO realize you have to download the bios file separate from the emulator itself right?

uhm i know this may sound STUPID but if it read the post the guy said it worked before. you DO realize that if it worked before, he must have had the bios?

People are just so stupid. *shrugs*

I havn't read all posts in this thread so this might be a repost.

However, Golden sun 2 does not work for me (atleast not on X10). In the intro sequence the game just restarts. But other games ive tried seems to work ok.

I have bought gameboid, but when i start any game, i can only use one button on the touch screen at one time or only one at all:( e.g that i play some racing gaming i can use B(speed) but cant turn right or left on the screen. Or if i touch right+left, it will brake.

Looking at the specs of your phone, it seems to be running less than Android 2.1, which is probably why multitouch isn't working. However, you can remap all the hardware keys so that you can press them easily. While in the app, press Menu > Settings > Input settings > Key mappings. Then just tap the gamepad direction you want, and it'll ask you to press what key you want it assigned to.

Aha, my Google-Fu has failed.. But hm, that is weirder. Maybe trying a different rom of the same game. At least you can use the hardware buttons, though.

OK I HAVE BOUGHT the emulator i have downloaded the bios folder and have selected it on my phone all my phone does in gameboid now is comes up white with gameboy written across the front but i cant select to load any roms :(

I haven't managed to get any pokemon games working on this yet :(

Tried about 4 different versions/roms. When I load them screen goes blank for a few seconds, then just exits back to the rom selection screen

After you tell the program to use the BIOS file, you don't select it or anything. In the file browser part of the GBA program, select a rom file and it should load up.

idk where to get the bios folder i need help with that

PM me.

Hm..the three I've tried so far have worked. I know I've had the "load a ROM, it goes black for a few seconds before going back to the list" problem, just wish I remembered how I fixed it.. Have you tried files from a different source?

Hey guys, I have the LITE version on my HTC Aria. Wanted to try it out before I bought it, so I downloaded the Medabots: Metabee Version ROM. It runs smoothly, but it crashes when I get into a battle or try to go between buildings. Will the full version fix this, or is it a problem with the ROM?

I was under the impression that the only real difference between the versions was the ability to save, so I would guess that it would still not work. You could always try it, and return it if it doesn't work (Note: If you have the newest market, the return-window is now 15 minutes as opposed to the 24 hours). Or I can try it out if you PM me the link to the ROM. Although never played that game, lol.

Greetings all. I bought the Samsung Intercept a few months ago and purchased the full version of gameboid right away. So far it has played everything I have tried, although it seems Golden Sun will not work from what I read.

My question has to do with sound. Many people on this forum have posted that their roms run flawlessly, looking and sounding great. On my Intercept the games run fairly smoothly with only occasional slowdown, but I play the games in silent mode because any attempt to have the sound playing results in vastly distorted sound with crackles and pops constantly. It is basically unenjoyable to have the music going.

is there a way to optimize it's performance so that sound plays better? I usually play in airplane mode, and I have a task killer app to kill all background processes I can find when I try to play. Are there any other things I can tweak to make the sound better? Is my phone simply not strong enough to process everything smoothly? I appreciate any help, and will still continue to enjoy my games with or without sound.

Alright, I slowed down my processor and saw what you mean. Two things that I noticed helped were:

1) In Settings > Audio & video settings > Max frame skips and increasing it. Note that I'm not sure you want to do that - it may jump around more.

2) Also the same menu, you can try setting the Screen refresh rate to 30.

If you're really eager to play this, you may be able to root and install a custom kernel that's overclocked, but I don't know how comfortable you would be with that. Or for that matter, what kernels are available for the Intercept.

I have the emulator, and no matter which emulator i use on which mobile device Hamtaro Ham Ham Heartbreak always stops working when i get to the part that says Yes everything is ok. It plays fine until i get to the naming screen. I name Hamtaro and then Bijou but when i hit Yes this is ok and Yes I am sure it freezes. Any patches or fixes or something i can use?

I downloaded Pokemon Fire Red and i told my friend about this awesome app, we both got Fire Red, now is there a way to connect our phones, we both have the droid 2. We wanna challenge and trade and stuff. Quick response would be great, thanks in advance.

Hi all, I have just downloaded the emulator and loaded in the golden sun rom. everything works fine until whenever I tried to summon 3 or more mercury dijinn (boreas and forgot whats the other one called)

Is this a common problem or should I redwonload another rom to try? But in doing so, will it affects my save.

need some advice here. Thanks in adv.

I got my HTC desire the other day but I cant get this to work. I only have the free one so I could check it worked, good job I did!

I have the Bios file, and have it specified but it keeps saying "BIOS load failed, BIOS needs to be specified in the settings". It is though! Any ideas whats going wrong?

Hi. Gameboid works great on my R2D2. I was hoping to get my Wiimote working with it; the wiimote software works fine and captures the Wii buttons as keystrokes, but for some reason doesn't work with the actual game (even though the keys are mapped - e.g. I press "g" on the keyboard and it works fine, but the "1" button on the wiimote, which is mapped to "g", doesn't work in-game).

Anyone else experience this and have a suggestion how to get that working?

Never mind, I figured it out. Apparently you have to turn on "Use input method" in the "Other settings" section. Why it doesn't just accept the keystrokes, I don't know, but that makes it work great.
