Gaming on the Thunderbolt

It handles it pretty well. I never ran into any problems. If games are your primary concern, I'd suggest getting a different phone. Most people have problems with the battery life of the phone. Playing games increases the battery drain of the phone vastly. I don't really have any battery life problems and play games a couple of times a day. It all depends upon how much you plan on playing games vs. having a battery life for other functions. Hope that helps
 
I have a pretty good example. For one it runs emulators great, plus the big screen is a huge plus for playing games. I came from the HTC Incredible, having it for almost the year it was out. I tried playing Dungeon Defenders online and it was a little laggy, kind of hard to play. On my Thunderbolt, I dont see any lag at all. This game is graphically heavy and it plays very well on the Thunderbolt. All other games i have from the market run buttery smooth also.
 
if you really want gaming go for a galaxy s phone since they have a dedicated GPU ... the Tbolt does just fine but the galaxy s are definitely better at processing gaming programs...

Integrated or dedicated they are all graphics chip built in System on Chip. Adreno 205 is around 2 times faster then 200 and only a little slower then sgx540 found on galaxy s devices. Just put it this way Xperia Play and Thunderbolt use the same grphics chip so it is pretty fast.

Adreno 220 will blow everything away in the HTC sensation and Evo 3d, since they use the next gen dual core chip clocked at 1.2ghz and adreno 220 gpu.

I would not recommend a galaxy s device at all. They have gorgeous screens, thats it. Touchwiz is terrible. My fiancee has a continuum and she likes it but she could care less about rooting and gaming. But Samsung does not update until months and months after the latest software has been released by Android. This phone is awesome for gaming and development, also gingerbread is coming in May/June....
 
my nephew has his epic 4g and my phone is oddly faster in every aspect. as far as games go, we were both playing tap tap revenge 4 (thought it'd be funny to attempt co op while sitting side by side) and his phone would occasionally lag and screw him up. the ONLY time i experience lag in games is if they require adobe air...or when i get a text message.

What do you use to get the roms? and what emulators u use? I use Gameboid.

I use psxoid, genesoid, snesoid...and i use rom buddy and rom buddy psx. You can't get psxoid on the market anymore but the ddev made a website and it is now free...I paid $6 for it. So just Google it
