How does the droid X handle 3d games? Mainly the gameloft games i love to play.

I had the vibrant with the powervr sgx540 and it wax nice but my wife took over that phone. I have the HTC G2 with the Andreno 205 which is a little slower than the 540 but still good but i want to know how well the droid x with the powervr sgx530 performs in realworld games. im thinking of returning the G2 and going for an X. i need some motivation!

also, any word on the droid incredible HD? can someone find me an official release date?

22 views and not 1 response. lol the people in the other sections really werent kidding when they said the X forums arent the greatest. :( it makes me sad because i am a potential X owner.

To your question, I have tried a couple of Gameloft games and they all run great. The two that pop into my head are Nova and UNO. The prices are a little steep though. $4.99 for UNO is a lot.
 
I am not sure what you are referring to. The only games I have played are Angry Birds, Labrynth and Overkill. I do 99% of my gaming on my PS3 and X-Box.

The DX forums are great for a user looking to root and use custom ROMs and themes and stuff like that. Or if you have technical issues, etc.

Maybe pose your question in the general Android Gaming section?...good luck!

I think that this question is very pertinent to the Droid X forums because he is asking how the Droid X handles 3d games. If he posted it in the general games forum, I'm sure he would get a lot of answers about different phone that start with something along the lines of
"I'm not sure, but my phone..."

You would know better than I. powervr sgx540 Andreno 205 are greek to me, LOL!
 
I actually did post it in the general forum but they moved it here.

Going to a verizon store in a bit to see how it performs.

I know my g2 gets 32 - 34 fps in nenamark while the x gets 22 - 26 however this is just a benchmark and not realworld performance. Always take benchmarks with a grain of salt.
 
I have played HAWX on the DX and it runs great. I dont find any lag at all, and graphics are pretty amazing for a phone. Ive also played that shooter game also lag free.
