do all roms need gapps and how do i know if to use them before i flash

nope only AOSP roms need gapps....dont worry about it on the sense roms, its already in sense...

gapps are all the google applications, ie. maps, gmail, etc... so if you use any of these then you can flash the gapps file... you don't need them, that is why certain roms remove them...
