Both will give you an option of universal ball joint mount. Arkon MegaGrip will be ready out of the box while original Garmin mount will require modification. Good luck!

Actually you can use the DX car mount with the Garmin friction mount. Works well. ZERO modification needed.

Just keep in mind, GPS mount that requires some modification - $4. Arkon MegaGrip w/o any required modification and universal clamp to use with any case that you want - $20. VZW car mount - $40 and you are very limited to what skin/case to use with DX in that mount.

The $4 thats for the vent mount right? Right now I am liking the Arkon since I can use it with other phones.
