Root GB 2.3 Flashing

Hello,
I had a question, I know everyone is saying that there's no exploit for GB 2.3 etc. But then I find online resources saying there's downloadable stock ROMs that are de-odexed, odexed and rooted? (4.22.651.2) I'm a little confused, can I flash the ROM and if so what's the best way to go about doing this?

you have to be rooted to flash those. in order to obtain full root and flash roms you 3 things.
1.s-off basically your nand needs to be unlocked in order to make changes to your system framework ie flashing roms.
2.you need also a custom recovery
3.rooted rom

without those three things you can't flash any roms yet. so if you are on 2.3.3 ota then you will have to wait. believe me if there were a way to flash roms while on 2.3.3 that would be big news and there would be thousands of thread and posts. you will also see a sticky guide on how to root 2.3.3.
