Ducky I tried the 29 for couple of hours. They have a new browser, new appshare app for chinese users, new access control (password for apps) and new volume control for notifications..

What do you think of 29 Phil? Found it laggy in some places but it looks good so when they add soem stability I may upgrade from 1.7.1 soon...
 
Phil a solution to your problem is out. Those suffering from theme manager force closes in 1.7.29 should update to 1.7.30 via XJ's system updater...
 
I'm tempted to overclock to see if it will help with the running of some game emulation on my Desire.

My current kernel doesn't allow for overclocking though, anyone know of one that plays nice with Miui at the minute?
 
ok so ive been running 30 now since it came out and its really stable and i dont think ive had a force cose.

How do you change the market ??

Get the black market form here:

Inverted 2.3.6 Market - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Then use root explorer to delete the market updater from "system/app" and move the vending.apk from the same place to the root of the sd card just in case you may need to reinstall it. Then go to recovery and flash the black themed zip file. You may have to toggle off verification. Reboot your phone, the Market icon should show on your homescreen...

In case the zip didnt work. Just simply extract the market apk out of teh zip and install it in the "system/app" hit permission accordingly and hit install then reboot.
 
im now on the latest update 1.8.5 and from what ive just read on XDA im thinking this might be the last one from XJ
 
Yeah I know I dont blame him to be honest cos MIUI is going to be in english by default very soon so XJ wont be required to translate the rom anymore.. Ive updated to v.1.8.5 aswell and it seems stable enough for me. By the way Phil did you manage to get black market installed?
 
Phil its the same one I showed you before few posts up... Anyways Ive found an easier way to install it. Delete market updater from "system/app" and then just flash it over the new market.. Easy peasy!
 
i just kept it as it is for now, spent too much time playing with the phone, looking for a new lockscreen now, using typoclean mod 1 for now
 
I quite liked the jigsaw one when it came out, but found it to be quite finickity, it would take atleast 3-4 tries to get the piece to fit properly and unlock, so i went and found this and love love love it, its a really nice/functional lockscreen, the music controls are awesome. Its on the very first page quite far down.

I have that lockscreen on my theme manager aswell but right now I am feeling the jigsaw one for time being. By the way there are 3 versions out so perhaps you havent tried them all??
 
is there a way to change the transparancy or text colour for the status bar, i am using kolbalt theme but cant see my info
