GB Problems

I'm late to the update, partially because I have been out of the country. Soon after I got back I updated and this phone has become soo much worse. Before I could tolerate the problems. Now I get horrible lag, hang up, freezes, force closes(everything not just apps), and Random resets. The resets are the worst because the screen will go black and become unresponsive. I would love to back to 2.2. I'm not much for rooting. I expect the phone to be good enough that I shouldn't have to root. I wish I hadn't paid full price for it, I'd feel less like I have to see this thing through to ICS. Even thoughi expect it to just get worse.

Any ideas of what I should do? Call lg, go to tmobile or just eBay it and move on"

I'd call T-Mo. I'm on my 3rd one, best of the 3.

I also paid full price on it and personally I didn't think putting it up on eBay was an option. I guess you could get some money back, but it would have been a big loss for me to swallow.

Calling LG is useless, unless you want to send in your phone, they'll check it out and you should get it back within 10-14 days (they promise to get everything done within 7 days, but by the time you ship it out, they get it and send it back out, I'm guessing 2 weeks.)

My 3rd one with GB installed >>> my 2nd one that I updated.

Also, I recommend rooting, as this phone has given me problems after a month every time. At least with rooting you'll be occupied with different ROMs, that may actually work better than what LG is offering.

I think I heard that after you do the update it may be best to do a factory reset. not sure if it will help but may be worth a try

You definitely need to factory reset at least once after the GB update. I updated it and had it running a few days without the factory reset and it was giving me a few errors. Once I did the reset, (for 2 G2X's on my account) it worked SOOOOOO much better.
