GC01 modem

I'm on a stock rooted version of GC01. In the link for the rom there is a link to a GC01 modem. I have tried to install it repeatedly but I keep getting a status 7 error. I know I'm using the right recovery and kernel because I followed the rom instructions. I've tried different versions of agat and with all of them I get a status 7 error. What? I found a modem that works but it's a different one. How can I fix this?

you can use pc odin and flash a tar version. or use an exe version called a one click. there are some kinks with some kernals for flashing

I can Odin a modem? Thought that wasn't good?

I have changed my modem several times via PC Odin.

Use an un-zipped .tar file and load it into the phone slot. JB will not work correctly without a JB modem (GC01 is JB).

I'm using a gc01 modem already. I know only gc01 will work for this version of jb. I'm just using a different gc01 than the 1 recommended. I heard that sometimes odin has trouble with modems. But oh well trying now. Thanks let you know how it goes.

Only Mobile Odin has problems with modems. PC Odin handles modems just fine

So I downloaded this one-click odin executable (for the pc):

"SPH-D710BST_GC01_1014517_Rooted_Restore.exe"

and I flashed directly to prerooted GC01, no problems, no modem issue, everything worked perfectly the first time, and now I'm pretty darn happy with this jelly bean.
