Root Gen1 to Gen2 this weekend - possibly!

Is that better than Astro File Manager? I used that previously to check my md5's when flashing SS.

Well Mr Pigfish says I'm Gen2 and the phone settings says I have Android 2.3.4!

It feels a little bit sluggish compaired to how it was before. This might be due to the default live wallpaper thingie? Lots of lines going up and down, left and right. Looks pretty funky! :D

To be honest it looks like a whole new phone. Time to learn to use it again!

CyanogenMod-7-06182011 is the version I have. Is this the version you're using or is there newer?

I see Nightly 112 is available now.

What do you use for backing up your apps/setting? I presume you're not reinstalling and setting everything up from scratch every day after each update?

Also should you have a full battery when installing a new version? Doesn't android record battery settings or something?

I've only wiped once on CM! Don't bother wiping
Don't worry about the battery when flashing, if your ROM is corrupted you still have Recovery and TPT

So I have Nightly 105 at the moment (the version that came with the all-in-one Gen2 TPT).

If I wanted to update to Nightly 112 I would put the zip file on my SD card, power off the device, power it on holding menu plus the down button and run that rom.

Presumably I'd lose any apps etc I'd installed on Nightly 105?

(I should just try this rather than pestering you all the time!)

How do you find your battery holds up with CyanogenMod Nightly? I read that version 105+ eats the juice quicker. Did you find this?

WTB reading lessons.

I can't see an option to delete your own posts. Am I being blind or is there no option?

Anyway I updated to Nightly 113. As you pointed out all my apps and settings are still present!

Tis fine, you can leave as is.

In future, you can hit the report button and ask for the post to be deleted. One of the Mods (the guys with their names in red) will be able to delete it for you. :)

The FM Radio seems to drain battery. Delete it from the ROM and reflash perhaps.

Did you do this with yours Shadowninty? My battery barely lasts a day with moderate use (an hour or so of gaming, some forum browsing, a few phone calls to the misses etc).

Download libaudio.so

Push it to /system/lib

Then it should stop the drain.
Use ES File explorer in root mode via settings and mount system as writable or push via ADB.

Is this what you meant? Would this need to be done each time a new Nightly is installed?
