Root Gen1 to Gen2 this weekend - possibly!

Did you do this with yours Shadowninty? My battery barely lasts a day with moderate use (an hour or so of gaming, some forum browsing, a few phone calls to the misses etc).

Download libaudio.so

Push it to /system/lib

Then it should stop the drain.
Use ES File explorer in root mode via settings and mount system as writable or push via ADB.

Is this what you meant? Would this need to be done each time a new Nightly is installed?

Yes to all!
You might be best staying on N104, or you could add the lib to your GAppps package!

N104 might be easier as I have no idea what a GAppps package is! :D

Another daft question:

How do I know what my partition size is? I updated to Gen2 using the TPT which installed CyanogenMod 7 Nightly 105 at the same time. It was listed here:

Gen1 to Gen2 TPT upgrade - Android @ MoDaCo

but it seems to have been removed now.

Is it easy to go from Gen2 to Gen2 with a different partition size?

Just wondered as I see the Blue Ginger V2 ROM needs a 136MB partition or more. Not sure if I'll try it but it got me thinking.

Thanks for the info here guys. Thinking about taking the plunge from SSR5 on my Gen1 too. Though this phone needs to stay stable!
