General Question about GPS "Issues"

Can you read?

Samsung Galaxy S GPS-gate: two problems, not one (and what to do about it) -- Engadget

You're like a person saying that four quadruplet sisters where two have breast cancer and who have a long running history of breast cancer in the family.....you're the one saying the other two sisters WILL NOT have breast cancer, WHO WOULD BE CRAZY TO THINK THEY WOULD?!?!? And this even as they have lumps in their breasts, lol. You'd make a fine doctor.

I am pretty sure last time I checked they were called cousin phones and not sister phones.

And if your hypothetical above were true then a good Dr. would tell the other 2 sisters to have a mastectomy.

He doesn't accept the fact that:

1) Epic 4G is not built by the same folks who built the other two. Contracted under Samsung; yes. Same place, people, components; no. CDMA is not GSM. Therfore the aGPS chip connot be the same in both, as they are recieving a different signal. Now the GPS chip is a different story. (explained in #2)

2) The Epic 4G is not rushed in the same way that AT&T and T-Mobile rushed the production of their devices, as such there is a better chance that the problem was actually worked out in the Fascinate/ Epic 4g.

3) That Samsung has already announced there will be a fix released in September for Captivate/Vibrant. He is assuming that Samsung is now recanting on their earlier statment and saying all that is needed for all Galaxy S phones to fix GPS is to turn on aGPS/ Use Towers. That is NOT what they said at all.

I am wondering why dietcoke can say the GPS is 'broke' on this phone when he doesn't have one in his hands either. He is basing it on the fact that he has a different galaxy s phone. So apparently because one has an issue all of them have to?

He reminds of a telemarketer trying to sell a product or idea but nobody truly cares.

Here is what it comes down to

Do the Galaxy S phones on ATT & Tmobile have GPS issues?: Yes
Does the Epic have GPS issues?: Unknown (unless you personally have the phone than you dont know)
Does Samsung know there are GPS issues?: Yes
Did Samsung say that they are working on a Fix?: Yes

Thats all there is too it

That "solution" they told Engadget is only a temporary fix until they release a firmware update that can bypass the problem and truly have a solution.

People already know about the other Galaxy S issues so that is why everyone is taking a wait and see approach right now.

However dietcoke has his own agenda where he must post in every topic claiming the same nonsense.

We heard his "message" the first 20 or so times, but what good does repeating it in every topic do??

Posting every topic, "OMG GPS SUCKS ON PHONE" wont fix it nor will anyone take you seriously.

All anyone could do now is wait until the phone is released and go from there.

Can always count on your excuses.
How are you doing on your list of excuses for the Epic GPS issues on launch day?
Someone with your mentality will never face facts and admit to anything in their lives.

I have shown you my "Charachter", my would I get mad at you? You are like a little puppy that follows me arround saying the same thing over and over. It's kinda cute... I love my dietcoke <3

*edit* I would like to know what personal attacks I have done against you though. Recently at least, I know of one, but I withdrew myself from that conversation.

I'm having a discussion about real issues. Please keep responding with personal attacks. Shows your character, maturity, lack of ability to handle differing viewpoints, and oh yeah...will be reported. ;)

You are in the wrong forum for your issue. Your issue is for different phones than the Epic. Seeing as how you have no idea if the Epic has this problem or not you can not be stating facts about it. You have no facts about the Epic having this problem. You are just speculating. When the phone comes out and you personally have it then you can be stating facts.

"lack of ability to handle differing viewpoints"????? HIM??? Might wanna look in the mirror buddy

Everytime someone posts something GOOD about the Epic, you seem to always come back with the exact same 4-5 articles each time and copy/paste your quote's from every thread you have posted about the phone.

If somebody says a random statement such as the sky is blue, I have no doubt in my mind you will retort with "oh yea, well the Epic (IMO) makes a terrible GPS" It seems that"s all you talk about??

I'm just curious, why are you even on here if you don't have Sprint, and are not going to get an Epic?

*I like healthy arguments and such, but this is just a little ridiculous
