I set up 'Cloud Print' on my phone and Chrome on my computer. Tried to download a file to print (using both Astro File Manager and ES File Explorer), but both failed to download. Any thoughts? Thanx!
 
is your printer properly connected to the wifi network wherever it is located? I have an epson printer and the setup was ridiculously smooth.
 
I've had the following problem over the last few days. I'm getting good signal strength, and I can make calls & send texts. But I'm not receiving calls, and I'm only getting texts while I'm making calls. Any ideas on how to fix that?

I found the fix online. If you call ##72786#, it resets & reactivates the phone.
 
This morning while talking on the phone, the phone went dead. I looked at the screen, and saw that it had spontaneously turned on 'Airplane Mode'. I switched off airplane mode and placed the call again. Has anyone else experience this; any explanation?
 
it went into airplane mode to conserve battery power it seems. sounds normal.

try not to run the battery down to the point of cutting off, especially when in a phone call. that phone call is drawing a lot of power and heat. the battery does not like to be driven down to those levels.
 
Whops, the battery was greater than 90% full when it sent to Airplane Mode. Low battery shouldn't be the issue since I was able to redial the number after I turned off Airplane Mode.
 
You didn't mention that extra bit of information.

Could be a faulty battery, a random / rogue glitch, etc.

Since you can recall what you were doing when it occurred, try and reattempt the scenario. If you can reproduce it, could be an issue within the phone.

If you can't, then chalk it up to a random glitch.

Hi all,

Before I switched to the EVO, my old Rumor 2 would show the name of the state of the phone number that would be calling me. Is there an option to enable it on this phone? It drives me crazy just to see the number, and not the state too.

Yeah, we used to see a lot of this same question.

Bottom line, not built in, but a year or two ago, there were caller ID apps to add it back.

I think that you'll just have to search the Play Store for caller ID state and see if you can still find those.
 
I have had my phone for over a year and a half now and have not experienced a problem like this before. I had to download an app for work and then i selected the home button on my phone but it didn't go through and when I tried to click on apps it didn't do anything. But I can recieve phone calls, texts and other notifications from apps, is there something I can do to solve this problem, or do I have to go to the carrier and let them fix the situation?
 
obvious questions:

are you rooted?

what carrier?

what was the app you downloaded? did you remove the app?

remove any screen protectors and/or cases to make sure they are not interfering with the screen/buttons

you can always try a factory reset. that is almost guaranteed to fix the issue.

your issue is not common. just another random glitch that happens under "just right" conditions...
 
How change bookmark password ??

Have HTC EVO 4G LTE.
Best phone I've ever owned.
Don't want to change phone.

Need help with bookmark password.

Have changed password on a website.
I have had this website bookmarked on phone for a long time.
When I try to use bookmark, it will remember old password,
and not use the new password.

Question: How can I get the bookmark to use the new password ?
