Just had some basic questions about my first smartphone.

  • Will they put Jellybean on the Lucid?
  • Do I have NFC?
  • Does the power button wear out quickly?
  • Are the power and headphone ports replaceable?
Thanks in advance!

1. Not likely.
2. No.
3. Mine hasn't yet, about a year in, and no signs.
4. Anything is replaceable, it's whether or not it's worth it... (IDK)

Had another question. Should I update my apps? Does this take more space on my phone?

I have also noticed the phone is acting very slow. Any cures?

And lastly should I be using Advanced Task Killer or Cache Killer apps?

Actually my power button wore out. Both the metal part went to plastic and I couldn't consistently hold it to turn off. But it always worked to turn on.

I actually think it breaking though was an electrical problem from an irregular power source lol.

[Q]Will they put Jellybean on the Lucid?
- [A] LG will probably NOT put Jellybean on the Lucid. However you can install CyanogenMod 10 on the Lucid for JellyBean.

[Q]Do I have NFC?
- [A] No

[Q]Does the power button wear out quickly?
- [A] Not at all for me so far.

[Q]Are the power and headphone ports replaceable?
- [A] Any part can be replaced, the odds of Verizon replacing a broken part is slim. However the Lucid has a 1 year manufacturer warranty by LG, so if any of those break you may be able to get a certified pre-owned replacement by Verizon.

[Q]Should I update my apps?
- [A] All up to you if you use the apps that need updates.
[Q]Does this take more space on my phone?
- [A] Yes the updates will take more space.

[Q]I have also noticed the phone is acting very slow. Any cures?
- [A] Yes, I would do a hard factor reset. Some other methods are uninstalling apps and getting an app from Google Play named "RAM Booster" (without quotes).

[Q]Should I be using Advanced Task Killer or Cache Killer apps?
- [A] If you mean is it safe, well yes they are, you can use them.
