So i just started searching around for a LG phone that was running ICS stock. To my amazement, there are STILL no LG phones on ICS, there are some in the works from what i see, and i see the Optimus 4X it running it, but as far as i can tell still unavailable. And 4.0 kernel source is not available for any LG device. Once they release 4.0 kernel source, for any phone, it should make things much easier on getting it to our phones. As the proper changes will have been made to at least some of it, and will allow us to see what changes need to be made to get it functioning on our devices, at least it will get us closer. But until we get some of that source, things are pretty much at a stand still. Im still coding/changing/compiling away at my build, and have made many and tried many changes to the kernel, some better than others but also still dont have a working touchscreen. Pretty much everything is still as it is with my first bootable build. Here shortly i will be dedicating a machine for building, i have acquired many computers lately (10 between laptops and desktops now) for a home media project i have been working on, and once i have another it will become my ubuntu for building android box. may help speed things up, as my main desktop is usually in windows, and dont have alot of time for building when doing alot of the other things im into, building apps and such, and maintaining my media database.. (its crazy, i love xbmc). But anyway, just figured id drop an update on my thoguhtsa nd progression in the matter. Thanx for looking.
EDIT: just wehn to phone arena, found some models with ICS, going to see if source is available
UPDATE: Ok just got source for the p700 and the p880, going to take a looksee and see what changes they made to the driver source, see what can be implemented on our phones
Will continue posting in Alpha thread
