Looking to find out if anyone has modded the galaxy s2 ATT version so that it can accept the non nfc batteries like the ebay 3500mah battery without a boot loop when plugged in to charge. It seems to me that it's a simple mod maybe even a battery id clone could be done to just clone the original battery id to the generic to make it work. Taking off the rear cover only works about 20 times then it's trash and you need a new cover.
I checked the voltage and the thermometer setup out on a few of the battery's in my lab and if i have to i'll just mod the generic battery itself to house the little ic from the original battery but support a total capacity of 3500mah.
A software fix would save me a great deal of time though .
