Help Generic message failure

Some times I get a warning icon and a pop up that says message failed, generic network failure. Has anyone else got this message before? Is there a fix?

Thanks. Yea it gets annoying and I remember the Dinc had problems too.

OK, I feel dumb, I should not have had to search for this. Go to settings | apps | all | messaging and clear data and cache (I just did this on my phone to confirm that it does not delete your messages) and that should clear up your problem.
