Help Genetic network error

Just got my new HTC Desire today and my mate sent me a mms message but when i try to get it i cant.

I get an error stating

genetic network error

i take i have to do something to get it to work but cannie find any info on the net, any ideas or help would be appreciated.

It is a problem with your apn settings,i suggest you contact your network provider and make sure they are correct.

Got the settings sent to me by my provider, managed to get the mobile broadband tae work but not MMS,

cheers for the advice matey, going to take it to the shop to get them to look at it
