at least netflix is working for you! amlogic's sources are pretty screwed up and imcomplete. geniatech had to do a fair amount of work to get all the bugs out...just like we have to do now to the atv-108. too bad it's not true open source, changes to code don't flow back up the source tree...only down. amlogic may take code corrections from geniatech but i know they don't really from other companies.

I have been flashing the geniatech images to my sumvision nano fire a couple of months.
Finally sumvision have done their own ics release

It is also rooted by default

so i assume you have registered your sumvision player....i hope so. do you have the apk for the phone remote software or the media organizer apk? the website says you need to be registered, but i don't even own this device. i'm trying to implement a phone remote for something else and yer apk would really help! PM me. or send me link.
I have just updated my ATV1000 to this Version with one minor problem.
You have to firstly unzip and you get the update.img plus a readme file.
The readme states:
"This firmware version does not support the upcoming release .apk (application require to support upcoming release DVBT dongle)
Users planning to purchase the dvbt dongle for nano series can alway downgrade back to 2.3 to use dvbt app until newer version dvbt app is compatible with 4.0 is ready."
This appears to imply that an app for the HiDTV dongel for Android 4 is on the way.
As to the Android versions, this version has the same Android, UBoot, Recovery and Kernel Versions and Build Number as:

The Spanish update site, last update box, seems to be saying something about the HiDTV dongle but I do not speak Spanish and Google translate is a bit garbled to me. If there are any native Spanish speakers out there could they post a translation please.
Well they have been promising that apk for weeks - nothing has shown up - I have pretty much given up on it.
You mentioning it has brought it back to my mind - I did register months ago when I got it and had an exchange of emails about it. I will send them a chaser right now and let you know what they say.

It's a mistake. Says "compatible ICS" but, apart from not not working in ICS (I tried) the sentence is unclear (i'm spanish):
"HiDTV Version 1.9.8 apk software for ATV with USB DVB tuner, decompress in a USB drive and install from Appinstaler compatible ICS."
So here we are waiting for a ICS HiDTV version. Come on Geniatech. Please.

ATV310 is working with many webcam now, try Logitech C270 etc.
The question was Does ICS support webcam ? Some time ago i have seen that ICS not support it yet...
I need mostly youtube, internet browsing, internet movies and maybe some games.
For HD video I use DLNA support in my TV

ICS still isn't final product and it is not bulided with all posibilities like GB was. you may use one of those ICS from gio, but there will be something that will miss you. for hd, is still better, IMHO, 2.3.
20120111 is most stabile OS, and with upgrade to 0606 you will not see any benefits for YOU. there are small bug changes, but nothing essentially for everyday use.
for applications - NO, all applications will revert to they default state, you'll loose every settings. you may do backup for some apps and after upgrade just return them. but no matther which app you may use for backup, there is no guaranty that data will be restored correctly. i tryed several apps for that purpouse, and for now, the best, but far from ideal is titanium backup.

About ICS, so it's doesn't support webcamera yet ?
For Indic fonts I have to copy few font files to /system/fonts in ICS. 2.3 didn't support them at all. What language you are trying to use?

first you need to find camera which is supported in GB. in sticky is short text with cameras data. you need driverless camera. if it is supported by GB, it is very likely that it will be supported by iCS. i cannot tell you about ics, because i finally made my system small, quick and not bloated with software. and simply do not have need to switch to ICS. that is one reason, and other is that i'm still speaking arrount that ICS on 512mb ram is slow and not easy-going. for a while, i'll stick to GB.
about changes, i canot tell you exactly and nothing more than i wrote earylier- there is no BIG change for user. apps are same, root is still here, so, end-user will not see nothing spectacular (hm, i didn't wrote this word correctly... ;-) )
