gesture search

Hey guys.

I wanted to put this in the droid X section because the default way of searching contacts is horrible.

I installed gesture search last night and now one of my few gripes with the phone is solved.


I hated having to having to hold the options button to bring up a keyboard and then having to clear my last entry to start another search.

FYI- spelldial works even better in my opinion....reason being, you can use the larger numbers on the dial pad vs small individual letters on keyboard.

Gesture search doesn't use any keys. You draw the letter or number and it displays a contacts. It will also search apps, songs etc etc

I hadn't realized that the gesture search worked for contacts. Awesome info! Thanks for starting this thread.

Gesture is fantastic. Though it only works for me for contacts that have a phone # listed.

I wish it was on by default when you went to contacts....Made a shortcut.
