Get 2 days of battery on your Eris --> follow this tip

Pinnacle, i enjoy calling people buddy =)

Well. I use my phone every day, dont call that much but text, read news, web etc. I have no idea how people get 2 days..I wake up at 730 every day, and by 1030 I have about 30% left of the battery.

The buddy reference was a joke on my part. I took no offense.

I used to work with a person that called everyone "Guy". Hey guy. How ya doin guy. That I hated. Buddy is not so bad.

Maybe your battery issues have to do with your location. Here in Ohio where I am at it seems we have a tower every 100 yards. Sure, we all glow like lightening bugs, but we always have good coverage. I guess it's a trade off. Hide-n-seek isn't very challenging around here though.:D

haha i never heard of anyone calling another person "guy"..

Well, I live in Tampa Bay. I would think we have many towers also as I get a good reception anywhere I go.

Wouldnt call it a battery issue though..Just wonder how you get that long of life.

Note:

If your battery lasts all day, life shouldn't be that bad.

Lithium-Ion batteries like ours like to be partially charged, not TOTALLY drained, then charged.

If you're letting your phone's battery get super low (not charging at night) then taking it back up, you're REDUCING your battery life, according to most of what I read/understand.

How to prolong lithium-based batteries

I leave everything on, save the basic battery-saving tips, and charge it at night and in the car when I drive. Partial charging works great!

When I first got the phone it was like running into a brick wall. I come from a Blackberry 8900 and the battery on that beast used to last me 2 days with no problems and everything on...and I mean everything. The first 2 weeks with the Eris was hell. I was running out of battery by 3pm. So I did some changes and got in the habit of charging it when I was not using it and that helped me alot. Also I keep an extra charger at work as well to charger it there too. So far is gotten a lot better...just wish that I didnt have to go through all this to keep it running the entire day.
