Get Apps on phone without android market or data plan?

I have a mytouch3g and i activated it using my someone elses sim to log into gmail because i dont have a data plan. I wanted to know if i can add apps to the phone without going through Android Market. Can i upload apps through my computer using USB? I cant get into Adroid Market because it asks for their password. Can i use the Apps using Wifi since i dont have a dataplan?

Yes yes and yes. Wifi turned it into a data phone. I used my old blackberry without a sim card and was able to get on the net.


Can also download apps to the PC connect the phone and place all the apps into a folder. .... Then how are you gonna open them... Good question... Use the wifi download ASTRO then you can use the computer again. ... LOL
