So I just recently made the switch this weekend from winmo 6.5 on a htc hd2 to a sidekick 4g.. I like it so far.
T-Mobile is giving me 2 weeks to test out the sidekick 4g because I wasn't sure on whether to get the sk4 or the g2. Now, you're all probably like "get the g2 wtf" but I'm new to android and coming from a horrible phone like the hd2 I desperately needed a keyboard. I have had 3 sidekicks in the past, and I was in love with the keyboard so that's why I was so quick to get the sk4.
My concern is should I stay with it? The only reasons I see to get the g2 are:
-5mp camera with flash
-pure android
-seems to be generally faster.
I installed the task killer and i constantly kill apps, the most I've ever gotten for free memory was 165m. I downloaded quadrant benchmark and the highest score I ever got was 944.
is the g2 fast? If I'm going to be stuck with a phone for 2 years I want to make it one that is reliable and fast. My hd2 CONSTANTLY froze and had to do factory resets weekly and take out the battery daily.
