Apps Get Play Store App Screenshots In Different Sizes

It took me a minute to wrap my head around why you'd want different sized screenshots in the play store. DOH! ;)

Pretty good tip, although I don't know if I'd want to see every possible iteration of screen resolution for an app. Maybe just a min/max is necessary?

Hey @lunatic59,

Sometime you need to use your app screenshots in emails, blog post, forums, etc, and you may need your screenshot images in certain size. For example, if you need include app screenshots in a post in this forum, you can only specify the image link. So if you use the tips I shared, you can get the link to the image with proper size.

I don't think you'll ever need every possible iteration of the image resolution, but in certain situations being able to specify the size of the image is pretty handy... :-)

Okay, but are we simply talking about resizing and image? I can easily take a screen capture from My Note 10.1 or Nexus 6 and scale it in photoshop, but it wouldn't be representative of how the app would look on a my Nexus 4 ... or an old Galaxy S2

It's basically about resizing and using image that's already hosted by google at the play store. So you don't need to take a new screenshot and then upload it somewhere every time you need the screenshot in new size... ;)

Very cool, @AppVisionaire :).

So, is this basically just using the original image and asking it to be displayed / resolved differently (i.e., the image is the same, you're just directing (via the tags at the end of the URL) it to be displayed differently)?
