Get the VZW Extended Battery FREE!

I use my phone a fair amount and get 24-30 hours on average with the stock battery. So do a few other people I know with Incredibles. I'm not going to go thru all my settings again (I have other posts detailing them more), but I run a bunch of widgets, display at 50%, and always surf the net on 3G.
Would you be able to tell me where u posted your settings?? Bc if I get 5 hours, i'm lucky..and this is with a new 1500 battery, as well. I seriously need to see if this issue is fixable or at least preventable. Thanks!

. Bearly, check out up and awake times, then use systempanel to see if any of the active apps are showing large amount of cpu time. Program called Batteryleft will list every thing on your phone that is keeping your phone 'partial awake' anything in that list is a potential problem.
How much CPU time is considered alot??

No offense, but you obviously have no clue about high performance sports cars. People spend big money on high performance sports car so that they can go fast (or at least look cool going slow). Going fast means making big horsepower, making big horsepower consumes a lot more fuel than making little horsepower. Sticking with the Porsche analogy I'll pick the current 997 Turbo. It's engine produces 500 horsepower, it's estimated fuel mileage is 16 city and 24 highway. So I'll just average that out to a combined 20mpg. I'm thinking that is a bit high unless my mother is driving the car. I would expect 13-14mpg if I were driving. I'm basing that from my own observed mileage of my daily driver which is claimed to have a 21 city 29 highway where as I normally get 22.3mpg combined. Now the 2010 997T has a 17.7 gallon fuel tank so I would on average get 239 miles from a full tank if I ran it dry. Now 17.7 gallons is really a lot of fuel to be carrying around but that flat 6 is just sucking down fuel at an alarming rate just to make me happy. Personally I wouldn't be complaining about the fuel mileage because I understand that making big horsepower means lots of fuel consumption. So, if my round trip to and from work each day were 70 miles and I didn't want to stop at the gas station every third day I would drive a car that was more fuel efficient. Of course, I wouldn't enjoy my drive as much and the car sure as hell wouldn't be as fast either. Your solution is to have a larger fuel tank. Well in that case the 99T would look very different with a tank in it big enough to make you happy, not to mention that the acceleration and handling would suffer a lot as well due to all of the extra weight. You have to understand that the candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long. It's just that simple.

Reagrding tire prices and "stealerships". Let's stick with the 2010 997T example, and take a look at a single rear tire, the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 N2 305/30ZR19. Where I work we quote the tire installed on the car at $646.00 plus tax which comes out to $691.22. Yep it's expensive all right, Michelins always are. We have five in stock by the way. Finding that specific tire at you local shop is actually laughable. Getting one at half the price is really hysterical. This tire is specific to Porsches. While writing this reply I've also done a little shopping over at the Tire Rack. Who wouldn't you could save a ton by getting your tires from them. They sell the same exact tire for $595.00 plus shipping ($19.00). So, delivered to my door it worked out to $614.00. Wow, that is a lot less. Now unless you have at least 20 grand worth of tire mounting and balancing equipment at your house and know how to use it you will have to take that tire somewhere to have it mounted. By the way, the 997T doesn't have a spare tire so this might really suck if you have only the one car. NOw you could take your wheel and new tire down to your local gas station or tire shop. But are you really going to trust your new $614 tire and $1300-$1500 wheel to a place that doesn't typically do such things? It's your car and money do whatever you want. If you bring it to our shop you will be paying $64.20 (.5 hour of labor plus tax). So now you're up to $678.20 and you had to wait a day or two for UPS to get your tire to you and then bring it to us. But you did save a whole $13.02 by getting the tire elsewhere. I guess you're right; we really are stealing from our clientele. What a bunch of buffoons they must be. Or is it that you pay for expertise, experience and convenience. An extra $13.02 sounds like a bargain to me. Maybe to others it's highway robbery.

first of all when i buy a sports car i expect the manufacturer to include a big enough gas tank for me to fill not a motorcycle tank. Im not asking verizon to charge my battery im asking them to give me a bigger one.

second of all any parts at a "stealership" are expensive. im sure those $600/tire tires can be found at half the price at other stores. now that the customer you deal with is dumb enough to go to the dealership for tires is another cognitive problem.

im also wondering for those who say that the 1500 battery is enough if you use your "smart phone" the way its supposed to be used. Why buy this phone if you dont use internet, gps, bluetooth? be real and admit that you just text on it and rarely play games and go online. I dont understand why some dont believe people who say their battery doesnt last. We use our phones (i know i do at least) and even the 1500 battery was cutting it close with the new software. notice how i said after the update since i didnt have problems after the mandatory update. thats another thing, i bought this phone with the 2.1 update which battery life was descent, after 2.2 (which was not advertised when i purchased the phone) my battery sucks.

thanks for listening

Well if you haven't used a certain app and its showing anything more than a few seconds of cpu time it could be a problem. I had a problem with mlb at bat after 2.2, i would use it 20 or 30 seconds to get a score then hit 'quit'. Then open systempanel and it was showing over 10mins of cpu time. Emailed them and they said to uninstall then re-install. Apparently if you did the ota with resetting after wards then you still have the 2.1 version of the app. A simple uninstall re install fixed that right up for me. (of course if i would of just factory reset i would have been good too:rolleyes:)

Well I tried to get the free extended battery, they declinded and are sending out a free stock battery. great.
