Get this or wait for Bionic?

I can't decide. What is your guys advice?

It depends, for me I live in an area that won't be receiving 4g LTE for some time now. There is no reason to spend another 50-100 dollars on a feature that I wil not be able to use, and verizon will most likely soon tac on a premium for 4g. So I will be purchasing the droid x2 when it releases.

I'm 90% sure that 50% of the time there's a 100% chance I'll get the Droid X2 and not wait for the Bionic.

This is the question of the day - isn't it? Wait for the Bionic/Targa or get the x2?

I'm an original Droid owner and I'm caught between these choices myself...... hhhmmmmmm

how does the Atrix compare (besides having 4g - I mean in terms of speed etc)? Is it akin to the x2 or will it be more like the Targa.

Stuff the Atrix has over the X2:

Lapdock support
More ram

Stuff the X2 has over the Atrix:

Better camera
Better network
Not made of plastic/better build quality
Bigger Screen

If you want to pass on DX2 and wait for Bionic, you should realize that it may be August or even later as it's undergoing major redesign.

I am going to hold out as long as possible, I assume VZ will annouce the tiered data plans with some notice to jump on unlimited data withon a short window. I'm thinking I'll wait and if they annouce tiered plans soon then I'll look at either X2 or Droid Charge. I am curios to see if tiered data comes before or with the iPhone 4S or 5 or whatever they will call it.

Bigger screen? Same aren't they? Exact same (unfortunately) if qHD, since Moto would have no reason two have two types.

Never mind. You are right...... I am slipping.....

One more Atrix perc is 8gb more internal storage.

Anyone thinking DX2 because they payed a stupid amount of money for Moto cradles and accessories? Presuming the DX2 works with them it's a big win if you use the cradles a lot, which I do.

This is what I'm doing as well and I'm thinking the Droid 3 will be good enough to warrent a purchase . Right now though I'm thinking about just getting the thunderbolt and maybe paying the extra to get something else later

TB has me too scared, too many threads about issues and then the awful battery. If the TB dock had been out I might have tried it, but neither HTC or Seido's docks are out and no ETA on either and the extended battery looks like Hunchback.

I also like Moto hardware, I have had several Moto flip phones and they have all lasted years and held up well even after dropps and such. While I don't expect any smartphone to be that rugged I do trust Moto hardware, now Blur and their software on the other hand, the jury is out for me.

It really comes down to one main thing - do you want LTE? If you do, then wait for the Bionic. If you don't, the X2 is a more than capable device.

I was planning on keeping my original Droid 1 until the Bionic or D3...But D1 forced me into a quick change of mind. D1 display went dim on me today so off to Verizon, they did a hard reset but no improvement. They could not sell the DX2 until Thursday so I ordered one should have it Tuesday, delivered @ work so I can use the wifi download apps. Checked out the Tbolt, but I will give up the 4G since most of my time will be on the fringe or out of the local coverage area. Loved my D1, DX2 will be a real step up. RIP Droid 1.
