getting a new battery tomorrow

my battery sucks so i called verizon to complain and they are sending me a new one. my phone comes off the charger at 7am and by 5pm im dead this is with regular use, phone email facebook/twitter. i took all the steps to try to save battery life but it doeswnt work i think i messed up the battery myself by keeping it on the charger too long. so i ask when i get this new one what are some tricks i can do to try to salvage this one

lithium ion batteries are really low maintenance. they do not have memory issue like the old nicad batteries. all i would do is charge it up full then run it down the first time then just charge it whenever you want. i have always charged my batteries every night and never have i had any issues. you can get bad batteries but it is really hard to messup a LI ION unless you expose it to extreme hot,cold or moist climates.
