Asphalt 5 came pre-installed on my phone, but this is the first time I've run the application icon. When I run it, it says, "This game requires additional data to run on. Do you want to launch the download?" When I click Yes, it says, "No Wi-Fi connection active. Please choose an option to continue." The only two options are Wi-Fi and Cancel. When I choose Wi-Fi, it, it says, "Please wait while your Wi-Fi connection is being activated..." It says this for a minute or so, then it says, "No Wi-Fi connection detected. Do you want to launch the download automatically when a Wi-Fi connection is found? (The game will be minimized while waiting for a Wi-Fi connection.) When I click Cancel, it says, "No Wi-Fi connection active. Please choose an option to continue." With the choices, Wi-Fi or Cancel. All this time, I have to listen to annoying gamer music. When I click Cancel, I see that my Wi-Fi has been turned on.
Well, no kidding! Of course I don't have Wi-Fi - I'm not at Starbucks or a hotel. I have 3G or 4G, but that isn't good enough for this game. So, does anyone know what is going on? Again, this game cam pre-installed with the Epic 4G, so I imagine it would be easy to try out on your phones to see if it behaves like mine.
