Help Getting ICS on GS2 from Virgin Mobile?

Hi , My friend has a GS2 and wants ICS , like GNEx style.
I understand that there is a offical roll out happening , but unsure how he can get it due to him being on Virgin.
Also, are there any GNex Style ICS roms that are fully functioning for the GS2.

What does his CSC say the phones carrier branding is ?? (dail *#1234#) you will get a little list, 3rd down is CSC it will look something like CSC:I9100XEUKH2 - THE XEU is the carrier branding (XEU) is UK un branded handset.

With the CSC code others will be able to tell you what carrier branding the phone has and from there you may be able to find the official release date for ICS for that carrier, As its a VMobile phone it could be an unbranded handset or it may have their or someone else's branding on it as VM dont operate their own mobile network.

I have a similar situation from Virgin as well
PDA: I9100MUGKG2
PHONE: I9100MUKGK2
CSC: I9100MBMCKG2
Build Info: Jul 2011
This is the last firmware till now, and there no announcements from Virgin regarding ICS for SGS2

As I haven't rooted my phone yet, I'm confused on which ICS ROM or Kernel to choose, pls list few roms or kernels ..

Samsung actually list a CSC for Virgin Mobile in the UK; it's VIR.

@nicemakkay: the i9100M (and the BMC code) indicate Bell Canada as the firmware rather than Virgin Mobile.
