Getting Mine Tommorow :D

Yes if you get a text or missed call it comes up as like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle on the lock screen and if you move it across to the empty space it not only unlocks the phone but takes you straight to the call log or text message screen.
Thank you for doing this. Am I correct that the only way to tell if you have a missed text or a missed call is to turn on the phone? With my G1 I can tell from across the room by the different colored LED's what I have missed.

Yep won't let me post the photo so your gonna have to go to the link above ^ lol

I trust you on that. But I counted, and it was the 29th...hm. And now your picture works when it didn't earlier. I was referring to the article when I said that. Looks interesting and pretty cool actually.

Actually, I agree with Smg..... I also make it 24.

btw, whilst I'm here ~ anyone know how we can get the Home Screens (see photo's 31 & 32).
There's one for Home and one for Work.
Home has the Time & Weather
Alarm/Voice Search/Gallery/Daily Briefing/Music

Work has
View Map/Voice Search/Navigation/Contacts/Search

I think it had a bad flash. Most of us noticed two Samsung factory seals on the outside of our boxes, the explanation being that they were opened to flash a newer firmware before being shipped, mine came with corrupt Market, Swype, and Samsung Apps installations on the ROM, and also couldn't install apps from APKs directly either (and probably other problems too that I didn't find out about). Since they were out-of-box problems I sent it back for replacement.

I'm the only person affected, so it shouldn't be a cause for concern for potential buyers, and more than likely as easy fix with a firmware flash.

Good point Beards i thought those kind of screens would only show up if you had the dock but those photos seem to disprove that.

Am asking on the Mobile-Review Forums as well.

Yep, its beautiful Widgets with the 'Naked' Skin, I use that one too.

I prefered ADW Launcher to LauncherPro, it was smoother in terms of performance, more customisable, more stable (although I see other users have had the opposite experience).

one advantage now with new version of Launcherpro is it shows missed call and new text message count on its icons, is it possible on AWD Launcher ?

I am switching allegiances from HTC to SAMSUNG

I've been using the desire for the last 4 weeks and can honestly say that I am looking forward to my SGS arriving on tuesday, not that I can particularly say anything bad about it however I after watching the video reviews I am looking forward to the change. The problem with my desire was the lack of network connectivity after swapping my phone twice 02 offered me a change (How very nice of them) & now here I am...A Samsung Galaxy S forum user :D

So, i've been playing with my SGS for a few days now - am I right in thinking from the thread, that if I install LaunchPro, it'll speed everything up? Is it a bit like using Wine or KDE of linux - same underneath, different on top?
