Root Getting Play Store to show more compatible apps?

Ok, so I believe there should be only a few lines in the build.prop to change but I am not sure/cant remember what they are in order to make the Play Store see the Evo V as the Evo 3D. Does anyone know how to do this? I have noticed a lot of apps that used to show up in the market have disappeared lately. GTA III used to show up when I first got the Evo V but it's long gone now. NFSMW showed up and I bought it until the last update it no longer is compatible apparently either. This is really driving me crazy and I was hoping someone could give me the best solution to getting all those apps to show up and stay up in the Play Store. I believe if I just changed the model and such in the build.prop I should be able to get it to recognize as the 3D and hopefully get more apps as compatible.

You might want to try this procedure and temporarily change your model to a Nexus S since a lot of the apps that aren't compatible with the Evo 3D are are available for the Nexus S. Don't forget to make a backup of your current build.prop file and restore it after you download the apps you want.

Get the editbuilprop app and change the specs to a nexus 4 then revert back once you get what you download, this can be tedious though but let me know if you have issues.

May be a basic question, but why would you download apps that are not compatible with your phone? Do they actually work?

Some do.

For example StickMount is an app that automates mounting OTG devices but it shows as incompatible in the Play Store because the developer doesn't think our device has OTG support, and it doesn't out of the box. And Sprint blocks most of the tethering apps for their models because they only want their software used for that purpose.

Thanks, just wondering. I can't ever remember getting that on my phone. I have gotten a couple on my Xoom though.

Use Lucky Patcher ;)
Never heard of that before and it's obviously not on the Play Store, but it does a lot more than workaround the device checks. It seems to be facilitating warez, and doesn't androidforums.com have a policy against that? I know XDA does.

If you use it that way i only use it to unlock the playstore

Lucky Patcher has many uses, some good some not. I've used it for finding apps that have air push ads built in.

Has anyone else tried this method? I tried it and it would not allow me to download real racing 3 using "samsung" and "nexus s"....but maybe even that device doesn't run RR 3 (but I doubt that). I remember using another method way back but cannot find it. Any other hints ramjet?

EDIT: Oh I guess Ill try lucky patcher maybe.
