OK, first off, the words "fishing nerd" may describe me all to well, that said, I don't exactly fish to get away from it all, as you'll note here.
In the past I've drug a laptop, webcam, and 3g connect card around with me of fishing trips for fun, and it was a complete beating.
Last weekend, I used a single device with far better quality photos than the webcam offered me, obviously, as I'm posting it here, I used my droid.
It was brilliant, and flawless.
This weekend (Saturday morning through Sunday noon-ish) I'm doing the same thing.
If anyone is interested in seeing how the droid performs as a mobile webcam, it can be seen at the following 2 locations:
- home
where it is on the front page
or at:
TXFishes Live
where there are larger images, and will be running side by side with an iPhone.
Funny thing about that iphone, it can't seem to do this automagically, we have to actually take a photo for each image (thus not a live webcam, but still fun).
Over the top nerdy or what?
