Help Getting rid of annoying data notifications

I got my VZW GNex a week or two ago, keeping my unlimited data plan with it. Unfortunately, my phone keeps getting a notification that I am running out of data for a 2GB plan. I called Verizon and they told me that I do have an unlimited plan, and that I just need to raise the limit in my settings. The problem is that I can't figure out how to do that, and there is now always an exclamation point in my notification bar.

Go to settings... hit data usage...uncheck the box for data usage limit.

The box is unchecked

Just raise the warning bar higher in the graph to like 10 GB (or higher if you often use more). The warning will still pop up regardless if that box is checked, because all the box does is cut off data on the phone when you reach your limit rather than just warning you.
