Getting rid of annoying "Tap here" messages with Samsung Android 14 tablet

There are two things that are driving me nuts on my android tablet.

1. I disabled weather information on the home screen. But now I have a permanent "Tap here to restore weather data"
I don't want the weather data. How can I make this stupid message go away?

2. In apps I sometimes get a "Tap here to restart this app for a better view". I don't want the app to restart after I've finally got it running. But I can't make this one go away either. Everything I've read says change the screen resolution under Settings>Display. But there is no screen resolution option under Display on my tablet.

Any help would be much appreciated.

what tablet do you have? have you tried rebooting the tablet?

As I said in my title, it's a Samsung tablet. It's the Tab A7 model.

Yes I've rebooted the tablet any number of times.

i think this is a OneUI issue. i hate samsung's OneUI. maybe try a different launcher like Nova Launcher - Apps on Google Play. i use it on all of my android devices. and if you get Nova Launcher Prime - Apps on Google Play, you gain so much more customization. it is well worth the one-time price, and you can use it on multiple devices.

I agree with ocnbrze, install a different launcher from the play store, such as Nova launcher and set it as default. Problem solved

Nova is an amazing launcher hands down, I hate the default for my tablet! That is why I switched to Nova for my tablet.. Works wonders.
