Help Getting the battery out

I have had my htc desire HD for two weeks now and had some teething problems so rather than do a restart i decided to take the battery out but there does not seem to be any way to get hold of it to pull it out

Advice please

Just hold it on its side, that should do it.

I take it you already have the battery cover off?

I would suggest you try holding it opening down and shaking it (make sure you have a firm grip on the phone though ). It ought to fall out pretty easily that way.

OK I put it on its side and shook it a bit and it came out looks like best to do it abovce a soft surface so battey not damaged as it shoots out

Yeah, I generally shake the phone with one hand and catch it with the other, but it does sound like your battery is harder to get out than most. It will probably loosen a bit over time as these things tend to do.

I wonder if the issue is because the metal housing is warped causing it to pinch more than usual.

@the op, have you ever sat on the phone?
