i downloaded minimalistic text after seein the chatter about it earlier,and i must admit its a lil confusing. i havent played with it much yet,tho i do like the minimalistinc look. heres a current screenie of my rezound,using apex launcher,beautiful widgets and battery monitor widget

lol,that one may have actually been included in a custom rom for one of my other phones. google can help you find simlar... one thing the internet is fabulous for is finding sexy,artsy pics of scantily clad womens :D

anymore,my gf just kinda rolls her eyes at me :D if you look thru my photo bucket i think there are some other homescreen screenies in there :)
 
Are you referring to the fonts suddenly looking like Chinese characters or alien writing? If yes it is a known problem with AOKP ROM's.

I don't have an AOKP ROM installed now, but somewhere in the settings is an option to allow a long press of the "back" button into a kill button.

When that happens just long press the back button. It will kill your launcher. When your launcher restarts everything will be back to normal.

Does not happen with Sense ;-)
 
There is that, but also every now and then the screen will flicker. This only happens when using voice search, something I use quite a bit
 
Best wait for one of the full time Ice Cold users. I don't use voice search so I never noticed the issue...

I've only noticed it once or twice... don't really use voice search though. As for the scrambled text thing that ral refers to... I've had that a couple of times (not just on ICeColdSandwich)... not exactly sure what's up with that... does clear itself up though, so I don't worry about it! :)
 
Yes, that is really the best advice, test different ROM's. See what you like. TrickDroid might be a bit easier than Sabsa.

Could you check Settings > Developer options and see if there is an option to disable HW Overlays. Try disabling it and see if that resolves the issue.
 
I cannot find the option.

I'll check out your thread on trickdroid first, since it's the flash from hell =P
 
Ok, I have been using Blackout ICS for a few days. A very nice ROM and would be my go to Sense rom, but... I prefer AOKP overall after giving both a good run.

Im subscribing this thread, I would like to flash a rom too. I don't know if I have to open a new thread or if I can ask here, anyway: Im not sure if I want to flash a sense rom or not, what im sure is that I want ICS and I don't want bugs. So, what are the most stable roms, with or without sense?
 
I think I would recommend Ice Cold Sandwich 8.8 for a AOKP ROM (only bug appears to be occasional text corruption in UI).

TrickDroid v3.0.0 for a Sense ROM (but Panorama, HDR and Face Detection in camera do not work).
 
What Ral said really. I just flashed ICS 8.8, coming off from Trickdroid =P

Try them both and see if you prefer your phone with or without sense.
