Help Getting this problem when manually installing Froyo?

I get to the part where I choose apply sdcard:update.zip on the recovery menu and it says this:

faild to open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory)
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.



** When I connect my usb on my computer, my SD card is on my F drive...not E drive. And yes I did rename the file update.zip so that is not the issue**

I had that issue because when I renamed it update.zip, they system was reading it as update.zip.zip
I had to go back and rename it just update.
