I have a Samsung galaxy Gio, which comes out with Android version 2.2(Froyo) installed, and it was like that when I took it out of the box.
The other day when I looked at the 'about phone' menu, under the Android version there stood 2.3.3. What puzzles me is that the interface of the phone is exactly the same as always with none of the features of version 2.3.3 and I never installed gingerbread and all my automatic updates are turned off.
Could someone please advise me on what is going on? I was Thinking of installing gingerbread but didn't yet have the time or the guts to do so.
